My Post Will Not Publish: What to Check by Platform

A post that refuses to publish is almost always missing something the composer never marked as required. Here is the specific culprit on each platform, in the order worth checking.

Start here, whatever the platform

Three checks that resolve most cases before you go platform-specific:

The universal three
  1. Has the upload actually finished, or does it just look finished? Processing completes asynchronously and several platforms refuse a post that references media which is not ready.
  2. Is there a caption, if the platform requires one? Maloum does. Most others do not.
  3. Is there media attached? Maloum, Privacy, Brezzels and 4based all require it. Fansly, Fanvue and OnlyFans do not.

Maloum: it is the categories

Maloum, in order of likelihood
  1. Check you have one to three categories selected. This is the single most common cause and nothing marks it as required.
  2. Check the caption exists — it is mandatory on Maloum, unlike most platforms.
  3. Check at least one media item is attached.
  4. Check video aspect ratio is between 1:3 and 3:1. Anything more extreme is rejected.
  5. Check the upload finished processing. Attach too early and the post is refused with an approval error.

Worth knowing: when a Maloum post does publish, it returns success with an empty body and simply navigates you to your profile. There is no post id and no confirmation object, so a post that seems to have vanished may well have gone out. Check your profile before troubleshooting further.

Privacy: a queue, three limits, and a preview

Privacy is the platform where "it did not publish" most often means "it has not published yet".

Privacy, in order of likelihood
  1. Watch the status widget, not the redirect. Publishing is queued — the widget moves from Processando to Concluido, and being redirected is not proof of success.
  2. Check whether you have hit a daily limit. There are three: immediate posts, scheduled posts, and a combined ceiling across both.
  3. If the post is paid, check you have marked a preview. A paid post without one is blocked, and the reason is not obvious.
  4. Check the first composer stage finished. You cannot reach the caption until media has uploaded and converted, and Continuar stays disabled until it does.
  5. Check you are within 10 media items — that is the cap per post.

If you are scheduling, note that individual days grey out in the picker once their own scheduled count is reached. A calendar that works in your head may be unbuildable in the interface.

Brezzels: the disabled button

Brezzels
  1. Attach media. The publish button stays inactive until you do — that is the whole explanation in most cases.
  2. If you set a price, check media came first. The price toggle is clickable before media exists but the amount field will not accept anything.
  3. If it looks scheduled rather than published, that is expected — a scheduled Brezzels post returns flagged as a preview with a future publish time.
  4. If it says under processing, the post exists and the media is not ready. Not a failure.

One accept-list trap: the post composer accepts WebP and the chat composer does not. If a WebP worked on a post and fails in a DM, that is why.

4based: check whether you meant it to be free

4based
  1. Check the price field. An empty price field is how a 4based post becomes free — there is no separate toggle, and a line of helper text is the only indication.
  2. Attach media. Required.
  3. If you were sending audio, remember the recorder is the only route — there is no audio file attach, and the recorder caps at two minutes.

Fanvue: combination rules

Fanvue is more permissive about what a post needs, and stricter about what can be combined:

Fanvue
  1. If you set a price, check you are not also using a poll or a post expiry. PPV is mutually exclusive with both, and the composer blocks it.
  2. If scheduling, check the time is more than ten minutes in the future. Closer than that and the schedule will not take.
  3. Check the composer — it holds up to ten draft cards at once, so what you thought was one post may be several, or a different one than you meant.
  4. If the audience option you want is greyed out, the wider Followers and subscribers choice needs follow-for-free enabled on your account.

Fansly and OnlyFans

Both are permissive about publishing — caption-only posts are fine, and media is optional. If something fails here it is usually the media pipeline rather than a missing field.

On Fansly specifically: the Main Feed wall cannot be deselected, so if you were trying to publish somewhere other than your main feed only, that is not possible.

Media processing on Fansly can take a genuinely long time — hours rather than minutes for a large file. And an audio file Fansly cannot accept sticks on "Verifying" indefinitely rather than erroring, which is covered in media stuck processing.

The quick reference

Platform Most likely cause Second most likely
Maloum Missing categories Upload not finished processing
Privacy Daily limit reached, or still queued Paid post with no preview marked
Brezzels No media attached Price set before media
4based Price field state not what you intended No media attached
Fanvue PPV combined with a poll or expiry Schedule under ten minutes out
Fansly Media still processing
OnlyFans Media still processing

When it is genuinely not your fault

Some things look like failures and are not:

In each case the post exists. Give it a few minutes and look at your profile rather than posting again — duplicating is the usual outcome of impatience here.

Common questions

Maloum won't publish my post and gives no reason. Why?
Almost certainly the categories. Maloum requires one to three of them alongside a caption and media, and nothing in the composer indicates they are mandatory. Add categories and try again.
Why is my Brezzels publish button greyed out?
No media attached. Brezzels keeps the publish button inactive until you attach something, so a caption-only post is not possible from that composer.
Privacy redirected me but the post isn't there.
Publishing on Privacy is queued. The redirect is not confirmation — watch the status widget move from Processando to Concluido instead.
Could it just be that my upload isn't finished?
Very often, yes. Maloum will refuse a post outright if the media has not finished processing, and it looks identical to any other refusal. Wait for processing to complete and retry before assuming anything else is wrong.
