Posting Requirements and Daily Limits by Platform
Most posts that will not publish are missing something the posting screen never told you was required. Maloum wants categories. Brezzels wants media before the button even wakes up. Here is every gate, platform by platform.

Three of these are worth expanding, because they account for most failed posts.
Maloum: the categories nobody mentions
- Schreibe eine Story Caption. Required — a post will not publish without one.
- At least one media item, attached from the vault.
- One to three categories — the requirement nothing warns you about.
The category requirement is the single most common cause of "my Maloum post won't publish". There is no asterisk, no red outline, nothing marking it as mandatory. People write a caption, attach a photo, press publish, and get a refusal with no visible cause.
Two more Maloum gates worth knowing:
- Video aspect ratio must be between 1:3 and 3:1. Anything more extreme is rejected.
- The upload must finish processing first. Attach too early and the post is refused with an approval error. Video readiness arrives asynchronously.
And once it does publish, Maloum returns success with an empty body and navigates you to your profile. No post id, no confirmation object — the only way to verify is to look.
Brezzels: the disabled publish button
Brezzels requires media, and it enforces it by keeping the publish button inactive until you attach something. A caption-only Brezzels post is not possible from this composer.
The price toggle behaves similarly — clickable before media exists, but the amount field will not accept anything.
Two post-publish states that look like failures and are not:
- A scheduled post comes back flagged as a preview, with its publish time in the future and its creation time now.
- "Under processing" immediately after creating means the post exists and the media is not ready.
One accept-list inconsistency worth remembering: the post composer accepts WebP and the chat composer does not.
Scheduling rules
- Maloum: a time in the past publishes immediately, silently. The interface drops the schedule rather than warning you.
- Fanvue: the time must be more than ten minutes in the future or scheduling will not take.
- Brezzels: scheduled posts appear as previews until their publish time.
- Fansly: scheduled posts can be edited and cancelled after the fact.
If a post you meant to schedule went out at once, Maloum is the usual explanation and the cause is the time you picked.
The paid-post rules
Whether a post can be paid at all varies more than you would expect, and one platform cannot do it.
Maloum has no paid feed posts. There is no price on a post anywhere, and subscriber-only visibility is not the same as charging for something. Its separate shop is where one-off sales happen instead — which is worth knowing before you plan a paid content calendar around it.
Everywhere else you can price a post, with a few specific rules:
- Fansly's price does not sit on the post. It belongs to the locked item the post points at.
- Fanvue will not combine a price with a poll or an expiry. A post is either a paid drop or an engagement post, not both.
- 4based makes a post free by leaving the price empty. There is no free toggle — an empty price is the free option, and one line of small text is all that tells you.
- Fanvue needs media before it will let you set a price, which is the most common reason the price looks broken there.
Walls, feeds and where a post actually goes
Only Fansly has this concept, and it has one hard rule: the Main Feed wall cannot be deselected. Whatever else you choose, every post lands there. Posts can also be pinned, and a Post to FYP chip submits to the For You feed — with the client also setting the flag when your caption contains a lowercase #fyp.
A checklist before you publish
Worth running through if a post is refusing and you cannot see why:
- Maloum — do you have one to three categories? Has the media finished processing? Is the video aspect ratio within 1:3 to 3:1?
- Brezzels — is media attached? The publish button will not activate without it.
- Fanvue — are you combining PPV with a poll or an expiry? Is your schedule more than ten minutes out?
- 4based — did you mean to leave the price empty, or did you forget to fill it in?
- Anywhere — is the upload actually finished, or does it just look finished?
